The Pentair 270100Z 2 in. bulkhead union adapter kit (MPN 270100Z, formerly 270100, SKU PST-14-110-1254) connects a Pentair filter tank to 2 in. or 2-1/2 in. PVC plumbing with a pair of black union assemblies. The 2 in. socket glues over 2 in. OD pipe and the 2-1/2 in. spigot accepts a 2-1/2 in. socket fitting, so one kit covers both plumbing sizes. It is the factory adapter set for Clean & Clear Plus filters built after 05/2005, FNS Plus, and Quad D.E. filters.

What is the difference between the 2 in. and 2-1/2 in. ends?
Each union has a 2 in. socket end that glues over 2 in. OD PVC pipe, and a 2-1/2 in. spigot end that a 2-1/2 in. socket fitting glues onto. That lets you connect the filter to either 2 in. or 2-1/2 in. plumbing with the same kit.
Is 270100Z the same as 270100?
Yes. Pentair renumbered the part with a Z suffix, so 270100Z and 270100 are the same kit with the same fit. Either number will get you the correct part.

This worked great for our Bullfrog X6L. Plug and play actually worked as it should and connected right up. Shipping took a bit long, but given it was free, I'm not complaining. Also it was 75% cheaper than buying from the bullfrog dealer.
