Which Cycler does the 105C pac fit?
The 105C (01-03-1413) is the chlorine pac for the New Water 100-Series above-ground Cycler. If you run an in-ground New Water Cycler, you need the larger in-ground pac (407C), not this one. Match the pac number to your Cycler so it seats and meters correctly.
How long does one pac last?
Expect up to about four weeks from a single pac on a typical above-ground pool. Exact life depends on pool size, pump run time, water temperature, and bather load, so hot, heavily used pools will burn through a pac faster. Test your water weekly and swap the pac when the chlorine reading drops.
Do I still need the mineral pac?
For the full New Water experience, yes. The mineral pac is what lets the system sanitize with as much as 50% less chlorine. The 105C chlorine pac supplies the chlorine side of that pairing. You can run chlorine alone, but you lose the reduced-chlorine benefit the system is built around.
Can I install this myself?
Yes. Turn off the pump, open the Cycler lid, lift out the spent pac, and drop the fresh 105C pac into the chamber following the New Water instructions, then close the lid and restart the pump. Wear gloves, keep the pac dry until it is seated, and do not open or break the sealed container.
Is this the same as loose trichlor tabs?
It uses the same trichlor chemistry, but it is sealed in a pre-measured cartridge instead of loose 3 in tablets. That means no handling raw tablets, no fumes, and controlled erosion tuned to the New Water Cycler, rather than the uneven dissolve you get from a floater or an in-line feeder packed by hand.
