Instant FROG is a mineral supplement, not a standalone sanitizer. You must keep a chlorine source running at 0.5 to 1.0 ppm free chlorine at all times using a chlorinator or floater, and shock the pool every two weeks. Dropping below 0.5 ppm leaves the water under-sanitized and unsafe to swim in. Keep the cartridge sealed and away from children until you install it, and never mix it with other chemicals in the skimmer, place chlorine tablets underneath it, never on top.

Can I use Instant FROG on an above-ground pool?
No. Instant FROG is engineered for in-ground pools only because above-ground skimmer baskets are too small to hold the cartridge and pass the flow it needs. For above-ground pools, King Technology makes a dedicated above-ground FROG mineral option instead.
Does this replace my chlorine completely?
No. Instant FROG is a mineral supplement that reduces chlorine use up to 50%, not a chlorine replacement. You keep a low 0.5 ppm free chlorine level running through a chlorinator or floater. The minerals handle much of the antimicrobial load so you can turn your chlorine source down, not off.
How long does one cartridge last?
One Instant FROG lasts six months or one full pool season, whichever is shorter, once it has been wetted. Set the built-in reminder dial to six months out on the day you install it so you know exactly when to swap in a fresh cartridge.
What pool size does the 01-18-4406 cover?

Our pool and spa are over 25 yrs old. When the spa air button stopped working, we found that it was no longer avaliable.
