The Swimline SupremeGuard 20' x 40' rectangle with right step solid winter cover (MPN CO122545RS, SKU PST-20204010SR) is cut for a rectangular in-ground pool with a set of stairs in the right-hand corner, so the cover lies flat over the steps instead of bridging them. How do I know if I need a right step or a left step cover?
Stand on the deck at the deep end and look toward the shallow end. If the stairs are on your right, you want the right step cover. Getting this backwards leaves the step section hanging off the wrong corner, and the cover will not lie flat no matter how you tension it.
What size cover is this and will it fit my pool?
It is built for a 20' x 40' rectangular in-ground pool with corner stairs, and the finished panel is 25' x 45' plus a 4' x 14' step section. That is 5' larger than the pool in each direction, so the cover lies past the pool edge onto the deck. Measure your water surface at its longest and widest points.
Do I need water tubes and a cover pump?
Both. Perimeter grommets and sleeves are there for water tubes, which hold the edge down without damaging coping. And because SupremeGuard is solid, rain and snowmelt sit on top, so a cover pump has to move that water off before its weight works on the seams.
How is this different from SuperGuard or SilverKing?

I accidentally broke the original knob by tightening it too much. This was a perfect fit and works 100%. Fast delivery too!
Swapped out broken heater (lasted about 6 years) for this one. The instructions are for the electronics, not for the plumbing. You must get everything perfectly aligned or the plumbing may leak. I needed to loosen the electronics box to get the plumbing perfectly aligned. I have hot water again.

PST pool supplies are great to work with. I was having trouble finding this heat exchanger . Everywhere I looked, it was out of stock or back ordered. I contacted the manufacturer about buying the heat exchanger. They told me I couldn't buy it because I wasn't a dealer. If I was a dealer, they would be able to take the order. And make one, it would take 5 to 8 weeks. I contacted PST they put my order in and I received it in about six weeks. Fantastic people to work with. Thanks Tim
