Green pool to clean in 24 hours, non-metal formula.

Single 4 lb container of Coral Seas Green to Clean (MPN 17644, also distributed as 17644COR). Non-metal pool algae remover that starts working within 24 hours, dosed with a cal-hypo chlorine shock follow-up to wipe out a green pool fast. Works in high pH (7.8+) and high cyanuric acid water where many algaecides fail, and is compatible with salt chlorine generators. Safe on all pool surfaces, kids, and pets.

Good to Know

Is this one container or a case of 8?

Single 4 lb container. The '8x4' note in the legacy title was supplier case-packaging shorthand (cases ship 8 bags x 4 lb each), but PST sells these as single 4 lb units. For case-of-8 wholesale pricing, contact PST directly.

What is the exact dosing protocol?

Step 1: Balance pH to 7.2-7.4, brush all algae spots, then broadcast 2 lb of Green to Clean per 15,000 gallons (half around perimeter, half on heaviest algae). Step 2: Wait 5 minutes. Step 3: Add 2 lb of cal-hypo shock around the perimeter every 12 hours for 36 hours (3 total shock doses). Run the filter the entire time, vacuum dead algae out at the end.

Why is this better than a copper-based algaecide?

No staining risk. Copper-based algaecides oxidize over time and leave green or blue stains on plaster, pebble, and vinyl. Green to Clean is metal-free, so even repeat seasonal use will not plate metal onto the pool surface.
