Do not stretch the liner during install, work out wrinkles by hand and let water weight settle the floor. Final trim at the top wall is permanent, measure twice before cutting.

Both. The overlap install style is universal across 48 in and 52 in walls, you drape the liner over the wall and trim the top to match your specific wall height before securing with coping strips. One SKU covers both common above-ground wall heights.
What is the difference between an overlap liner and a beaded liner?
Overlap liners drape over the top of the pool wall and are held by plastic coping strips that snap down on top, the excess vinyl hangs on the outside until trimmed. Beaded liners have a molded plastic 'bead' along the top edge that hooks into a permanent track on the inside of the wall, no draping or trimming required. This product is the overlap version, confirm your pool uses coping strips (not a beaded receiver track) before ordering.
How does the Maui Full Print compare to a plain blue liner?
Both are GLI Splash Series virgin vinyl at the same gauge, the difference is purely cosmetic. Maui Full Print has a tropical pattern across the entire interior, the floor and walls show a marine scene underwater. Plain blue shows a uniform blue color top to bottom. Performance, lifespan, and warranty are identical.
Can I install this myself?
Yes, most homeowners install overlap liners themselves on a warm afternoon. Plan on 2 to 3 people, you need at least one person inside the pool wall to position the liner while the others handle the drape and coping strips. Drain the pool fully, sweep the sand pad, drape the liner, smooth wrinkles from the center out, install coping strips, then begin slow refill. Stop and reposition every few inches of water depth on the first refill.
How long does this liner typically last?
Lifespan depends on water chemistry, sun exposure, and winter care. A well-maintained GLI overlap liner typically lasts 8 to 15 years. The biggest enemies are low pH (acid attack on vinyl), high chlorine residuals, sun damage at the waterline, and freezing on improperly winterized pools. The 20-year limited warranty covers manufacturing defects, not these wear-out factors.
