Chemical Handling Notice
The chlorine cartridge is filled with trichloro-s-triazinetrione (trichlor), a strong pool oxidizer. Never mix it with other chlorine types, cal-hypo, acids, or ammonia, and never let a cartridge get wet outside the pool, contamination or moisture can trigger a violent reaction, heat, fire, or toxic chlorine gas. Handle with dry hands, store the sealed cartridge in a cool, dry, well-ventilated spot away from other pool chemicals, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.

What is the difference between the Flippin' FROG XL and the standard Flippin' FROG?

How often do I replace the cartridges?

Does this replace my chlorine completely?
No. The Flippin' FROG XL is a mineral-assisted chlorine system, not a chlorine-free one. The minerals make chlorine last about twice as long and cut your chlorine use by up to 50%, but you still maintain a low 0.5 to 1.0 ppm free chlorine level for safe, sanitized water.
Do I still need to balance my water?
Yes. Keep pH, total alkalinity, and stabilizer in their normal ranges just like any pool. The floater handles day-to-day sanitizing, but balanced water is what lets the minerals and chlorine work efficiently and keeps the water clear and comfortable.
How do I set it up?
There is nothing to install. Push the orange chlorine cartridge into the green mineral cartridge until it clicks, twist the dial to your pool size, and place the unit in the pool or tether it to the wall. When it flips over, the chlorine cartridge is spent, snap on a fresh one and set it back in.
