Pool Safety Cover Anchors, Springs, Straps & Hardware
A safety cover only holds the load it is anchored to hold. Every strap needs a spring at the right tension, every spring needs an anchor set solid in the deck, and one seized brass anchor or one snapped D-ring is enough to leave a gap. This pool safety cover hardware collection carries the replacement anchors, springs, straps, and installation tools for all five major cover brands — Loop-Loc, Merlin, Meyco, GLI, and Latham — so you can repair the cover you already own instead of replacing it.
Anchors and springs are the parts that wear out first. We stock brass screw-type anchors and spring-loaded pop-up anchors, brass anchor collars and deck flanges, wood deck anchors with screws, lead wall anchors, and stainless eye bolts with drop-in or 4" inserts. For lawn and non-deck installations there are aluminum lawn tubes and stakes in 9", 15", 16", and 18", plus complete pipe anchor assemblies. Stainless steel springs run from 5" and 5.5" short springs through 7.5" and 8" standard sizes up to commercial-duty and Pull-Tite springs, and vinyl or fabric spring protector covers keep them from chewing the cover fabric. Straps, buckles, and tools round out a repair. Merlin extension straps come in 4', 6', and 8' for reaching an anchor that was set too far out, alongside Y straps, tension straps, grip clips, U-clamps, turnbuckles, stainless buckles, D-rings, snap hooks, and stainless cable sold by the foot. Installation is much easier with the right tool — 24" and 36" stainless installation rods, 15" and 18" hex anchor keys, and tamping pins and tools for setting brass anchors flush in concrete. Self-adhesive patch kits are stocked to match specific fabrics and colors, including Merlin Dura-Mesh, Smart-Mesh and solid, GLI Cover Doctor Promesh and Hyperlite, and Loop-Loc mesh and Ultra Loc 2. Shop complete ASTM-rated safety covers, compare mesh and solid covers with drain panels, or browse all pool winterizing supplies. Cover specs and fabric details are published by GLI Pool Products.
Replace worn pool safety cover hardware before you close — a properly tensioned cover with sound anchors and springs is what makes an ASTM F1346 cover a safety barrier rather than just a tarp.
