Oval Above-Ground Pools
An oval above-ground pool is the right answer when your yard is longer than it is wide. It gives you a true swimming lane and a shape that follows a fence line, a deck, or a narrow side yard instead of fighting it — space a round pool of the same water volume simply could not use. PST Pool Supplies carries the full Doughboy oval lineup, fifteen sizes from a compact 8' x 12' up to a 41' x 21' showpiece.
Oval sizes here include 15' x 10', 18' x 12', 20' x 12', 24' x 12', 24' x 16', 26' x 15', 28' x 16', 30' x 15', 32' x 16', 33' x 18', 34' x 18', 36' x 18', 39' x 18', and 41' x 21'. Wall heights run 48", 52", and 54" — the 54" wall gives close to 48" of water and is the pick if adults will actually be swimming, while 48" and 52" keep things shallower for kids. The planning detail that catches people out is footprint: an oval needs a level pad noticeably larger than its water dimensions, and the support system along the straight sides has to sit on that pad too — so check the required clearance on the model you choose before you excavate. Every pool here is built by Doughboy, manufacturing above-ground pools in the USA since 1957.
Twelve series span the range, separated mainly by wall material and warranty. Delta Dream and Marsh Majesty carry 60-year warranties, River Bend 40 years, Bay Burst Resin and Bay Burst Hybrid 35 years, and Lagoon Luxe and Ocean Current 30 years — all resin-walled, which is what resists the rust and corrosion that eventually ends a steel pool's life. Steel-wall Lake Vista (25-year) and River Breeze (20-year) start under $1,700, and Rio Grande carries a limited lifetime warranty. River Bend and Rio Grande are also offered with an integrated step. Round out the project with a pool liner, a pump and filter, and an above ground winter cover. For barrier and safety standards, see the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance.
Filter every oval above-ground pool by size, wall height, and warranty above — or compare round pools if your yard is more square than long.
